Frito-Lay Worker Killed Inside Nashville Sam's Club by Stray Bullet from Nearby Lounge Dispute

A 55-year-old Frito-Lay employee, identified as Paris Carlock of Murfreesboro, was tragically killed when a stray bullet from an altercation outside a nearby lounge pierced the wall of a Nashville Sam's Club.

Carlock was conducting an early morning inventory of products in an aisle near the center of the store around 4 a.m. when he was struck in the head by the projectile. Store personnel quickly responded to his aid, and he was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, according to details released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

Origin of the Fatal Shot

Homicide investigators believe the gunfire stemmed from a dispute that originated inside Lavo Lounge, located on Antioch Pike, a short distance from the Sam's Club. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots as multiple vehicles departed the scene.

Authorities confirmed that one of these bullets penetrated the exterior wall of the Sam's Club, fatally striking Carlock as he performed his duties inside. The department described Carlock as an "innocent" victim.
